Speed Lacrosse - Prek/K Intro to Lacrosse


Speed Lacrosse is a fast fun version of 3v3 lacrosse played on a small field. Players do not wear any equipment, do not have positions, and the game is supposed to be fast and free flowing. 30 mins skills/30 min speed game. Taught by expert coaches from Park Ridge Lacrosse.

Summer Scrimmage Series


Park Ridge Lacrosse will be hosting weekly Pickup Scrimmages at NiRidge Park in Park Ridge for both boys and girls programs.

The first 15-30 minutes we will do skill building drills, followed by 45-60 minutes of pickup small sided scrimmages (teams will be chosen each week by throwing sticks in a pile and separating into two teams). 



Boys
Wednesdays July 10 - August 14

Full Equipment Required
  • U8/U10: Wednesdays 5:15 - 6:30 (U8 and U10 will play on separate fields)
  • U12/U14: Wednesday 6:30 - 7:45 (U12 and U14 will play on separate fields)

TRAINING Boys U8 / Girls U10 (With Coach EDDIE and Kimmy!)

Coach Eddie and Coach Kimmy will be holding training sessions for 6 weeks and time dates are below.  This is specific to the U8 boys (6PM-7PM) and U10 girls (7PM - 8PM)

Thursdays -  June 20, June 27, July 18, July 25, August 1, August 15

Maine South/Notre Dame lacrosse camps

Our feeder High Schools are Maine South and Notre Dame and we highly recommend your players to join their camps.  Below are their details:

Maine South Boys (incoming 1st - 8th grades.  High School, sign up directly with Maine South here)

We're excited to announce the Park Ridge Lacrosse will be partnering with Maine South to hold the previously cancelled Maine South Boys Lacrosse Camp this summer!

Park Ridge Hawks Coaches Chip Seiple, Dan Maigler and Kimmy Powers will be leading the camp along with former/current Maine South players.

Maine South Lacrosse camp for youth. For all experience levels!

  • Dates and time: Monday - Thursdays from June 17 - July 18 (4 weeks minus July 4th and June 19) 8-10 AM
  • Location: Maine South High School

    Groups (Based on 2024/2025 grade)

Scrimmage Rules

 

Boys

8U Boys

Scrimmages will target playing 6v6 with goalies on 6x6 nets. We will officiate using the standard US Lacrosse rules for this age group (no takeout checks, no one handed checks, etc)


10U

Scrimmages will target playing 6v6 with goalies on 6x6 nets. We will officiate using standard US Lacrosse rules for this age group (no takeout checks, no one handed checks, etc). Short Sticks Only.


12U

Scrimmages will target playing 6v6 with goalies on 6x6 nets. We will officiate using standard US Lacrosse rules for this age group. Short Sticks Only. Games will be played on a smaller field (the field size used in U8/U10)

14U
Scrimmages will target playing 6v6 with goalies on 6x6 nets. We will officiate using standard US Lacrosse rules for this age group. 2 Long Poles allowed on field per team. Games will be played on a smaller field (the field size used in U8/U10)


GIRLS


All Ages
Scrimmages will target playing 6x6 with goalies on 6x6 Nets. Each age group will scrimmage on separate fields.
